Ecstasy of the cross

I edit these audio messages for clearer understanding, and add to them, which I got free on Podomatic.

I don’t see all the audio’s I downloaded years ago, but I am sure they are still available, you can find him on YouTube and Patreon.

The Lord forbids that I should boast save in the death of Jesus Christ my Lord the prince of glory.

There is something about the gospel. There is something about the crucified one that is ecstasy. It’s an eternal moment’s in the realm of time.

He was crucified before the foundation of the world. And in Revelation, He was the Lamb that was slain on the throne.

There is something in those moment’s of his crucifixion that God wants to reveal in this generation. Something about him. His crucifixion was not an accident. It was planned. It was a premeditated murder.

It pleased the father to wound him. He provided the Lamb himself. He Himself provided a pure and spotless lamb.

And there’s are moment’s there on the cross that you can gravitate your whole life towards. There is a source of incomparable ecstasy.

So many of the mystics in Christian history, “the saints”, it was during the eating of the host communion, that many of them would go into ecstasies and raptures. When they ate that wafer.

Joseph of Cupertino wasn’t allowed to have public communion for 30 years in the Catholic church because of his levitations.

They had to give him a separate communion table all on his own. Because he would be ravished by the love of God and float off the ground. And sometimes spend hours in ecstasy, floating in the air.

And yet the miracles that came from his life, how he healed the sick and impacted a generation was from this intimate relationship with the Lord. He would go outside sometimes, and people would rip his clothes because of the glory on him and his clothes would be restructured.

He had the fragrance of holiness where people could smell him before they saw him. Spreading the fragrance of Christ.

And there’s something in these moment of his crucifixion that’s surprising. And we’ve rushed the communion service in church and neglected having them in our homes. Pass me the little slice of bread. Pass me the little cup, yet we receive no transformation or Longevity.

Communion is a feast. It’s a feast. Eat the whole lamb, they were commanded in the first Passover. They had to eat the whole lamb on Passover.

The Lamb must be eaten in its entirety. Jesus said, “This is my body,” broken for you. When you eat this, you will not die. You will not perish. This cup is my blood. When you drink this blood, you’ll not die.

This is a promise concerning physical death, I have heard rumors that there are people on the earth, that have not died, but I personally do not think anyone has appropriated it.

Prophecies are accumulated when they are given to the church, there are many promises to the church alive in the spirit realm that have not yet been appropriated, most Christians are not even aware of them.

I believe there’s a company on the earth today that aren’t going to die. Because he’s restoring the feast.

The feast, the Passover lamb. And there is something about this feast. Will you clearly see him as crucified, will you clearly see him, will you see that blood, will you see that love, it becomes a drink, it becomes the mystic door, the gateway.

Hide me in the cleft in the rock, that’s the wound on his side, you were birthed out of the wound even as Eve was birthed out of Adam’s side.

Eve was birthed out of Adam’s side, you would be birthed out of Jesus at that moment, such wonder on that moment.

God wants to put the wonder back into those moment’s. It’s a place that you could come back to every single day.

You know the old mystics, they would see pictures of Jesus on the wall on the cross, and they would be in ecstasy.

I got a cross with Jesus on it now. I was one of those Christians that used to say Jesus isn’t on the cross. And that’s true, but he’s on the cross as well.

He’s on the cross. How could you not look at him? Something had not yet happened to you.

You sit there in your prayer room, and you envision Jesus dying for you and eat of his body and you drink of His blood. Something happens to you, when God reveals it’s meaning to you. You get sucked in; it’s like a black hole that sucks you in to bliss.

You slide in, it’s slippery slope. If you start to slip… you will enter into ecstasy.

And every single one of Jesus’s disciples was martyred except John who possibly skipped death, we don’t know what happened to him, Justin believes he’s probably somewhere hanging out waiting for Jesus to return. But I believe he died at a very old age, they use to carry him into meetings, because he couldn’t walk, but he still was an oracle.

I was reading the other day about one of the disciples I think might have been named Andrew when he saw the cross, the ecstasy that he had. How I’ve waited for you, my cross.

Peter saw the cross and said, I can’t be crucified the same as Jesus. Put me upside down. Crucify me upside down.

Some disciples went all the way to Britain. One of the disciples they think made it to the United Kingdom “UK”.

This revelation of the cross will possess you. This will overmaster you. This love will leave you with no choice. This love will possess you. This love will make you outside of yourself in ecstasy.

And so many of the mystics talked about these moment’s.

Teresa of Avila said that Jesus appeared to her many times. Sometimes he would appear with a crown of thorns on his head but glorified, with the wounds in his wrists and side.

Francis of Assisi was on the mountain when he was 43, I think it was. And Jesus appeared to him as the crucified one.

And he was ravished by the ecstasy of seeing Jesus. And a light came on the mountain that the shepherds and people saw for miles around.

A glow irradiated from the crucified one. And when that happened, and he came out of this incomprehensible ecstasy, Francis of Assisi bore on his body the wounds of Christ.

And he tried to hide it, but when he died, people came from miles around to see his body.

When you look at Christ crucified, you don’t know whether to laugh or cry. How could you not love him with all your heart and soul and mind and strength?

Paul said I consider everything rubbish. All the things that used to be my gain, I now count but loss. The things that defined me, the things that I thought were my merit, I now count as rubbish compared to the incomprehensible, all-surpassing greatness of knowing Christ, my Lord.

Paul said I want to know Christ. And the fellowship, the union of sharing in that bliss of his sufferings.

I want to know the incomprehensible ecstasy of his sufferings. When the disciples were whipped, it said they were overjoyed.

Overjoyed, I had a whipping today for Jesus! They were overjoyed to be whipped. Yeah, this will do something to you!

He must possess you. Paul said, I consider myself, “the way I think of myself” as having died. I have been co-crucified together with Christ. When he died, I died.

I consider the man that I used to be hung up with him on that cross. Hung up, crucified, co-planted into his death, and now I no longer live. But Christ, the crucified one, lives in me.

I was co-planted into his death. He took that death as mine. I consider myself as having died.

He also said this, if we are besides ourselves, if we are standing outside of ourselves in ecstasy, if I am out of my mind, it’s all God’s fault. It’s all because of God.

If I’m trying to be sober, it’s for you, because I’ve had a revelation that in him, I died. I died, all have died, I’ve been crucified to the world, the world has been crucified to me, and now I am a New Creation, I am a brand New world, I am a New being, I am a New man, the man that I used to be was hung on the cross with Him, it’s over, it’s finished, He has finished it, He has crucified that person that I used to be.

And now not only am I New, but the world around me is New through YHWH’S perspective. Now the law doesn’t apply to me. Death doesn’t apply to me. The laws of the world do not apply to me. For I am enjoying, a New Existence. Union melding, melted into him like two candles becoming one candle.

Mystically united with Christ. And they wonder why we’re out of our minds. And they wondered why they couldn’t contain the church.

They Praise him in the jail until it shakes. Co-crucified. I consider myself as having died. Oh, the meditation of that. I can’t tell you, you must experience it. I wanted to paint. I’ve never painted it. I wanted to paint because of that one verse. I consider myself as having died.

His wounds are my wounds. His death was my death. There’s such ecstasy on it. I can’t explain it. You’ve got to get this in your heart. You’ve got to get this in your spirit.

There is ecstasy, ecstasy, ecstasy, ecstasy in this. Endless ecstasy, endless bliss, endless joy.

Here is love, vast as the ocean. But this thing that’s been getting me is that I consider myself as having died. I died.

The man that I used to be, was hung up with him. We were co-planted into the tomb. It’s awesome. He did it for us.

This is what the message Bibe says. Since we’ve compiled this long and sorry record of sinners and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious life God wills for us, God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity, He put us in right standing with Himself, a pure gift. He got us out of the mess we’re in and restored us to where He always wanted us to be. And He did it by means of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.

Peter said this, oh this amazing God, the man who knew what it was to be a screw up, he said this in 1 Peter 2:24 he used his servant body to carry our sins to the cross so we could be rid of sin, free to live the right way. His wounds became our healing.

The message Bible says that- God sacrificed Jesus on the altar of the world to clear that world of sin. Having faith in Him sets us in the clear. God decided on this action in full view of the public. To set the world in the clear with Himself through the sacrifice of Jesus, finally taking care of the sins, He had so patiently endured.

This is not only clear, but it is now. This is current history. God sets things right, and He also makes it possible, for us to live in His rightness.

Galatians 2:20 My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. I consider myself as having died, and now I’m enjoying a second existence, which is simply Jesus using my body.

Romans 6:6 for if we’ve become one with him by sharing a death like his we are his resurrection by a new life lived for God. Young’s translation says this- knowing that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of the sin may be made useless. Oh, I love the gospel. I love it. I love it. I love it. I make no apologies.

I know there’s controversy. I know there’s mistakes being made. I know some things are being preached out of balance right now. Some things are being dismissed that they shouldn’t be dismissed.

But at the core “is this truth” that I am convinced is going to revolutionize this generation.

I don’t care how many mistakes are being made right now, and mistakes are being made, but this is going somewhere, this is going somewhere that’s going to take us out of where we’ve been into the New Reality, the eternal realm on earth now as it is in heaven, a company of burning hearts, Joel’s army, that are consumed by the ecstasy of what he has done and who he is, and being unified together with Christ.

Not needing a lineup Toronto style. Although I honor that. I went to the Toronto School of Ministry; I love those guys. But I have learned there is a transcendent reality that we can connect to where you are filled, when you are making a cup of coffee, you are filled.

Filled when you are cleaning the house

Filled when you are going to work.

You are filled when you’re in the car.

You are filled in your everyday activities.

You are filled when you’re in bed and you’re praying in your sleep.

And no one, no one can take it away from you and no one can add to it. It’s like a spring, that keeps bubbling up and overflows a lot.

In our church services we come with our offerings, we come with our worship and it’s like we bring a bucket and think the preacher will pour some water in it. Inside our spirit is the fountain of life. We must just stir it up, and it will keep flowing.

On some days we may have to prime the pump. All we must do in the morning  sometimes is wake up our spirit, but it should be awake all day long. When we are born again, we have a well of water springing up into eternal life, when we are baptized in the Spirit, out of our belly will flow rivers of living water. And when we experience the feast of tabernacles, we will have face to face encounters with God in the heavenly realms.

So, how do you honor “a spring”. If there was a beautiful spring nearby, would I honor it by bringing my bucket and put in my bucket in this wonderful, flourishing, replenishing, life-giving spring that’s bursting.

Now, do you know how I honor “the spring”? I bow down and I honor it by drinking it. I drink what he has done. I drink who he is, and he becomes glorified in me because I have drunk of the living water, and I have found a spring of everlasting life.

You think that your jug can sustain me? You think your cup can give me what this spring’s given me?

This spring, out of your belly will flow rivers of living waters, so powerful it is like when the levee breaks.

How could John be stranded on the Isle of Patmos, yet still! be full of glory?

I’ve heard people say it’s hard in different places. It’s hard here, it’s hard there. It’s hard in Wales. I don’t care!

We make it spring; we make it bloom; we make it shift. Do you think the disciples looked at our pagan shores and thought Britain’s a hard nut to crack?

Did they look at France? The Huguenots think France is a tough place. The Celtic saints, twelve of them, I think, or eight of them came over to Pigland in Scotland. Bamba. Did you know the stories? God plus one is a majority.

Is it tough? I mean, who’s going to stop this? When you have “a spring” are you going to put a cork in it? Are you going to cork up Niagara Falls? And they say it’s dry. We need to realize our position in Christ.

Are you getting this? Cause I’ve been drunk a long time and I’m trying to help other people.

I’ve gone to minister in places and they’ve said, do you need pre-meeting prayer? Will they pray for you before the meeting? Just in case you need prayer. I’ve had to whack them, “get them filled with the Spirit” to shut them up. It’s like, you don’t understand.

I went to Lakeland when the outpouring was going on and I was staying with one of the guys that was involved in organizing Lakeland. I got to go behind the scenes. I was so whacked.

They were worried about me. They were actually worried about me. Two of Todd’s guys were going, “Are you all right”, man? You okay? Are you all right, man?

I was like, Dude, I was like this before I got here. I’m behaving for you guys. I’m pulling back from the edge.

Well… One time we were in the healing rooms in Atlanta preaching and the angels showed up and we started crawling round on the floor trying to get away from them. They were tickling us. So, we were hiding under chairs.

Do you know what they tried to do? Tried to cast the devil out of us. Which world do they live in? They live in a world where the devil’s running around trying to tickle you in a meeting.

I said to the school of ministry this morning, I stood up in the train station in Brussels, crowded with all these people in the food theater, and I said, I had two different translations, French and Dutch, I think they were, and I stood up and I said, Can everybody be quiet? I’m going to be here for five minutes. If you need healing in your body, heavens at hand right now.

And these security guards came over and the Lord said, “against such things there is no law”. So, they walked up to me and said, “You can’t do that”. I said, against such things there is no law.

They went, Yeah, you’re right, actually. There is not actually a law against healing people yet. “But they did arrest John Alexander Dowie, a hundred times in Chicago for practicing medicine “healing” without a license.  They couldn’t stop it. At the train station, they couldn’t stop it. Hands were going up everywhere. So, these security guards were following me around, saying, if you get… If he prays for you, you’ll have to give up drugs. You know this, don’t you? That’s not good, you love drugs?

And I was like, whose side are you on? Anyway, this woman full of devils came up to me and she wanted to pray for me. I could see devils all around her. She was full of devils.

I put my hands out, the team were freaking that were with me, and it was like, I said, “Give it your best”.

She prayed for me, I was like, we’ve got “a spring”. Don’t you know Niagara Falls, little cup. Her anointing, little cup. The finished work of the cross is as vast as the ocean. Her highest level, a cup. My continual level, Niagara Falls.

Do you realize how powerful you are? “Who you are in Christ”, that you can become a Niagara Falls.

Do you think that worship fills the spring up? Through worship it begins to spring up. In Worship your focus in on God, and him alone, you are drawing from him, you drink it in, the reality of him, so that his life is in you, his joy is in you, his bliss is in you, his holiness is in you, you become a mini-him.

Because his life flows from your spirit  into your understanding. You look like him and sound like him, you are him, that is what it means to be one spirit with the Lord, one and the self-same spirit, it the numeral one, not two, he possesses you.

You become an oracle, you become a Living Word, you carry the realm of heaven. You bring heaven to earth where’s heaven’s going to end up.

Isaiah saw it, he said that the heavens were going to be planted on the earth. Jesus said pray this- that heaven comes on earth. “On earth as it is in heaven”. It is all going to happen on earth. All of heaven is focused on the earth, this is where it’s all happening.

For we are convinced that the person we used to be was hung up with Christ, that fallen nature was wiped out and we no longer need to be addicted to sin.

So, I looked at lots of different translations of this and everyone says the same.

King James- sin is destroyed.

Amplified- sin is ineffective and inactive.

NASB- sin is done away with.

Darby- sin is annulled.

ESV- it’s brought to nothing.

Holman- it’s abolished.

Philips- sin is broken worldwide.

English translation- it has lost its power.

The Message says this- could it be any clearer.

I love the Message bible- Romans 6:6 could it be any clearer, our old way of life was nailed to the cross with Christ, a decisive end to that sin-miserable life—no longer captive to sin’s demands!

I make no apologies for preaching this. This has become life to me. It’s become an ecstasy for me.

Do I believe in going for more? Yeah.

Do I believe in contending for different things in the spirit? Yeah.

But this is where it all happens. Right here, “this is the revelation.”

This is the place, those eternal moments in time, when Jesus bowed his head and gave up his spirit to YHWH.

Could it be any clearer? Our “own way of life” was nailed to the cross with Christ, a decisive end to that sin, miserable life. A decisive end so that we’re no longer at sin’s every beck and call.

What we believe as a Christian is this? If we get included in Christ’s sin Conquering death we also get included in his life-saving resurrection.

We know that when Jesus was raised from the dead it was a signal of the end of death. Never again will death have the last word.

When Jesus died, he took sin down with him. We are taking sin down.

When Jesus destroyed death’s legal right over us, he ascended into the holy of holies in the heavenly tabernacle and made proportion for our sins. That means he blotted them out; they no longer exist.

The he received his coronation as king of Kings having all authority in heaven and earth and sent the Holy Spirit down and brings God down to us.

He goes up into heaven in his resurrected life and says, Papa, I am taking you down there. I am taking you down with me.

FROM NOW ON THINK OF IT THIS WAY. Sin speaks a dead language. It’s like Latin, and you don’t understand Latin. Sin is Latin. Sin speaks a dead language that means nothing to us.

God speaks a heavenly language, your mother tongue. And you hang on every word.

You are dead to sin and alive to God, and that’s what Jesus did. YHWH allowed him to be tempted, but we do not have to be tempted if we are continually filled with the Spirit, because we are dead to sin.

That’s what Jesus did. But This is what the distilled version says- Temptations and struggles will be experienced, but there’s a new force within. There’s a new force. There is a new force within. A new heart. A new uplifting emotion. Yes.

The tragic, endless circle of human history is broken. The endless circle of human history is broken.

Now there is an eternal circle of salvation and victorious life.

But we who are dead are also alive. We arose together with him. He died our death. We live his life.

So… The love of Christ controls us and urges and impels us because we are of this opinion and conviction that if one died for all, then all have died.

2 Corinthians 5:13 says this- If we are outside of ourselves in ecstasy, it’s because of God. For if I be mad, it’s for God’s cause. If I am mad, it’s for God’s cause. This is what it looks like when heaven comes down. This is what it looks like when we sing heaven songs. This is what it sounds like.

Well, if I’m sober, it’s for you, for the love of Christ compels, urges, it urges, it urges, it scratches away at me, it constrains me. The love of God overmasters, rules and controls us, and leaves us no choice.

The very spring of my action, the very spring of who I am, the very spring of who I’ve become “is the love of God”. It is the spring of everything I am.

Therefore, if anyone is in union with Christ, he is a New Being.

The Phillips says this- For if a man is in Christ, he becomes a New Person altogether.

The NEB says this- when anyone is united to Christ, there is a New World.

Conan Bayer- His old life has disappeared, It’s vanished.

The Phillips- the past is finished and gone, and everything has become fresh and new.

NEB- the old order is gone, and a new order has already begun.

This is one of my favorite verses. I meditate on this. It’s always on my phone when I open it. It says this- your union with his death broke that association with that world.

This is the bit I love. It says this. I love this. It’s in Colossians 3. It says, the secret of your life now is the fact that you are wrapped up with Christ in God.

Wrapped up. I’m wrapped up. Blended.

The Amplified puts it like this: Romans 6:11- Even so, consider yourself also dead to sin, and your relation to it is broken.

I’ve broken up with sin. You’ve had a breakup. You used to go out with sin. The Bible says you used to be married to sin, but when you died with Christ, your marriage contract ended.

When you die, you’re no longer married. When Jesus died and you died with him on the cross, you ended your marriage contract with sin, you broke up. You broke up.

So, consider your relation to it broken, but a life to God living.

The amplified says this- Romans 6:11- a life to God living in unbroken fellowship with him. So, it’s unbroken fellowship now.

Full access every single day, every single night, every single moment, you are in unbroken access, mystic union with His Spirit, the two becoming one.

Paul said it was a great mystery. He said when a man and a woman marry, they become one flesh, but I’m not talking about physical marriage. I’m talking about Christ and His Church.

That you have become, you’ve got a soul tie. You have a powerful constraining soul tie with God. You are mystically united with God. You are jacked into God, plugged into God, blended into God, wrapped into God.

You are the product of God’s love. He restored you to His original thought to belong to Him exclusively.

You are now in an exclusive relationship. Okay? You used to be in this gnarly relationship with sin and death. You’ve now broken up.

And now you are… Back to the original thought, Colossians 3:12- to belong to him exclusively. You are now in an exclusive relationship.

That’s good news. So, what does this produce? Buttery fatness. Buttery fatness is the consequence of this.

I believe in putting on weight in the spirit. I believe in “the fatness”, okay?

The Moffitt translation of Hebrews 9:11 says- Christ derived as the high priest of the bliss. Okay?

1 Corinthians 5 says this- Christ God’s lamb has been slain for us.

This is what the Bible really says. It says to let us feast upon him. This is what Jeremiah said about this day.

I will soak the souls of the priests with butterfat. I will soak the souls of the priests with butterfat and satisfy my people with goodness.

The message in Psalm 68- when the righteous see God in action they’ll laugh, they’ll sing, they’ll laugh and sing for joy, I love this.

Romans 8:30 in the Amplified- and those he justified he also glorified raising them to a heavenly dignity. He has made you dignified, do you know what his plan is. The master plan that he’s got is spreading his bliss.

It says the knowledge of His goodness is going to cover the earth. His goodness is His glory. His glory is His goodness. His goodness is His bliss. His goodness is His joy.

To be infinitely glorious is to be infinitely happy. Consider that.

So, the knowledge of His glory, which is His infinite happiness in Himself, because He’s perfect and wonderful and overflowing as “a spring”.

The knowledge of His goodness, the knowledge of His kindness, the knowledge of His bliss, the knowledge of His joy, the knowledge of who He is, is going to cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.

He is going to take nations through the buttery love of heaven, because perfect love casts out fear. Perfect love puts you in ecstasy.

Perfect love transforms the human heart.

Perfect love dignifies humanity. He’s coming to give us heavenly dignity. A new state of being. Wow! Enjoying a New Existence. That is the gospel.

The bliss of the man whose sin has been put out of sight. The bliss of the man whose sin will never, ever, ever, ever, ever be counted against him.

We’re about to see the goodness of the Lord in a way we have never believed possible.

And it says in this time that as God lays that foundation, there’ll be shouts of “grace and grace”.

Where sin increased, grace increases more. Niagara Falls is just getting bigger. We have turned our eyes upon Jesus. Always our eyes, it’s our Lazor sharp focus.
