We need to have the victory in our spirit, but we also need to have it in our mind (soul).
The battlefield is first the spirit, then the mind, but we first must have the victory in our spirit.
Things can get in our spirit, unforgiveness, bitterness, resentment, pride, fear and so on, so that it is not one with the Lord.
When we walk with the Lord, we rule over our spirit and build walls so that the enemy cannot touch us. But you can tell when a person has unforgiveness in their spirit, because it becomes a state of spirit.
The enemy works from the outside in, someone does us a great wrong and then it gets in our mind and emotions, into our subconscious mind and then it can get in our spirit, if we do not know how to resist it.
We must continually join our spirit to the Lord through our focus on Christ in us and our submission to his Lordship over our spirit. Then the Holy Spirit strengthens our spirit through filling it so that we can bring our mind into subjection to the Lordship of Jesus over our spirit.
I teach experiential Christianity, so that you must experience what I am saying or else you won’t understand it.
But if you study under the Christ in me, you will eventually understand it.
When our spirit is right (joined) with God it radiates His Glory, God comes forth and manifests through it. When our spirit is right with the lord the fruit of His Spirit is manifested in it. The love of God is flowing into our spirit, the peace, the joy and all the attributes of the divine nature.
A right spirit attracts people; it is what draws them to the Lord. To have a right spirit is to have a beautiful spirit. When our spirit is right with God, His divine nature comes forth within it.
When our spirit is not right, we get disconnected from God. That which breaks our connection with God’s Spirit is what we need to be first concerned about.
What we need is an alarm system so that the moment we have a wrong spirit, or our spirit gets disconnected from God, the alarm goes off- bad spirit, bad spirit, so that we can repent and tune into God’s Spirit.
The moment our connection to God’s Spirit is broken, we are in danger of doing great evil.
The time when kings go out to battle, David lost a right spirit, it was not aggressively pressing into God and he ended up committing adultery and murder, and then he had to pray for God to create a clean heart in him and to renew a right spirit within him. As long as our spirit is right, we can never stay defeated, we will rise up an overcomer and will overcome everything that is opposed to God’s Spirit.
The problem is when our spirit comes alive to God most of us were in sin. We had addictions and wrong thinking patterns that controlled our lives.
Because of our lifestyle our mind has been programmed to certain thought patterns, which can cause major problems for us, we must take back our minds. God has given them to us for a reason.
The enemy wants control of our mind, if he can control our mind, he can cause us to fall in battle, to bring us into captivity.
We have a spirit, and we have a physical brain and when the two are not compatible we have confusion in our lives, and we emanate that confusion.
We have the privilege, an awesome responsibility of reprogramming our brain and then it will run according to that programming.
The brain is a function of our physical body, our mind is a function of our soul. Our brain cannot think for itself but is programed from our live experiences, and those programs will run, certain things trigger them.
Our brain is like a computer and must be reprogramed by our spirit and soul. When the Bible mentions our mind, sometimes it would better be translated brain. Only through experience can we understand which term would help us understand which function of our being it is talking about, the Greek or Hebrew in this case does not help us, only the Holy Spirit can reveal it to us.
If you train up a child in the way he shall go when he is older, he will not depart from it, if you program them right, they won’t depart from it because the program will run. And the way they think is how they become. But we must start when they just learn how to talk, or the things of this world and their individual will, will program their brain.
As parents we have the responsibility of training our children to think right, because as they think they will become. They will not depart from the training, they may have deviations, but the program will still run.
We need to realize that our mind is open to and vulnerable to spiritual influence, our mind is open to and vulnerable to the spirit realm. There is a unique connection between our mind and the realm of the spirit.
Our mind is a gateway to the spirit world. And our spirit is a gateway to our mind. The thoughts of God must flow from our spirit into our mind and emotions influencing our will.
Our mind is the gateway to all incoming communications from the realm of the spirit. Even though those communications may be in the realm of feeling they will eventually register in the mind.
When our thinking is contrary to our spirit we are in warfare. When our thinking is in harmony with our spirit our whole being is filled with light, we are filled with the Spirit, and this is the abundant life. Our spirit, soul, and body in unity with God and then our circumstances and the world around us is influenced by the kingdom of God flowing through us.
When our mind is single our whole body will be full of light. When our mind is free and released, we open a doorway for God’s light to flow to us, to flood us and overwhelm us.
We must get our thought life aligned with God and His Word and His purposes and the way He thinks.
We have to cast down every imagination, every high thought that exalts itself against God that is not in harmony with God, and we have to bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
When thought and emotion blend, we start a creative process. And Satan knows this.
1 Corinthians 2:16 for who has known the mind of the Lord that he might instruct him, but we have the mind of Christ.
The mind of Christ is in our spirit, our spirit has a mind, it can originate thought it is inspirational and our brain will sift and sort information that is given to it and conclude based upon what terms of conclusion are put in there.
Our spirit is inspirational. For us to be full of light our spirit and our brain must be in harmony. If our brain is not in harmony with our spirit, we will have a blockage.
There is a teaching that our soul and body are not important, but this is not true, why did God give us a brain if it’s not important, it is very important.
Our spirit and our brain must harmonize it is the law of unity, a kingdom law.
1 Corinthians 6:17- He that is continually joined to the Lord has become one spirit; their spirit has become one with the Lord. Everything that God is, is flowing into their spirit. The seed of God is in there. But the problem is that the brain is a terrible mix, it has some right concepts and some very wrong concepts.
When we are born again our spirit and our brain are not compatible, they think differently. Our brain must be reprogrammed we have to think the way God thinks.
Our brain must be reprogrammed we have to get out of our brain the things which are not true, the concepts which are false. We need those concepts replaced with truth the basic standard for this is God’s word.
