We Are New Creations

We are “in Christ” people. We are redeemed. We are free in Christ.
Neither justice, nor Satan, has any claim on us!

The sin nature that God covered in the Jew is gone. We are a new creation.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

If we are in Christ, we are new creations. The Holy Spirit has given birth to us. We are the “born of God.”

We are born “from above.” (See John 3:3–8.) We are of God.

You are of God, little children. (1 John 4:4)

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. (Ephesians 2:10)

We are His workmanship, a creation in Christ. We are God’s own creation.

The sin that the blood of animals covered is put away.

Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. (Romans 6:6)

The old man, the body of sin, is done away in the new creation. The sin nature is gone. The new nature is in its place.

So many of us have tried to get rid of this old nature.

We did not know that it was done away in the new creation.

This new creation is the life and nature of God imparted to our spirits.

The thing called the old man—theologically the Adam nature—was spiritual death that had possession of our spirits.

When we were made alive, made new creations, that nature was done away.

Because we are tempted and in our babyhood state, before our minds are renewed, we do unseemly things, some of us have been led to believe that we still have sin in us.

There is only one place for sin to reside and that is in our spirits. But our spirits have been recreated. The sin nature has been taken out of us.

We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. (1 John 3:14)

Satan’s nature is gone. God’s nature has come in.

And that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth. (Ephesians 4:23–24)

A new man is “created in righteousness and holiness of truth.”
This new creation is of God. It is God’s own nature.

So, we know we are His own.
