We Are New Creations

We are “in Christ” people. We are redeemed. We are free in Christ.
Neither justice, nor Satan, has any claim on us!

The sin nature that God covered in the Jew is gone. We are a new creation.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

If we are in Christ, we are new creations. The Holy Spirit has given birth to us. We are the “born of God.”

We are born “from above.” (See John 3:3–8.) We are of God.

You are of God, little children. (1 John 4:4)

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. (Ephesians 2:10)

We are His workmanship, a creation in Christ. We are God’s own creation.

The sin that the blood of animals covered is put away.

Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. (Romans 6:6)

The old man, is done away the body is rendered powerless in the new creation. The sin nature is gone. The new nature is in its place.

So many of us have tried to get rid of this old nature.

We did not know that it was done away in the new creation.

This new creation is the life and nature of God imparted to our spirits.

The thing called the old man—theologically the Adam nature—was what we inherited in the genes of our natural parents.

When we were made alive, made new creations, that nature was done away, but we have to reckon it dead, we have a new nature which is in our spirit, but our soul has been trained by our physical senses and must be renewed. Our body still has desires and senses, but sin is no longer it master.

Because we are tempted and in our babyhood state, before our minds are renewed, we do unseemly things, some of us have been led to believe that we still have sin in us.

There is only one place for sin to reside and that is in our soul. But our spirits have been made alive. Our spirit was sick, because it was encompassed by our soul, it did not function like it was created to.

We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. (1 John 3:14)

This love is divine. God’s nature has come into our spirits.

And that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth. (Ephesians 4:23–24)

Our spirit is the part of us that thinks, and God’s thoughts now flow through it into our minds.

A new man is “created in righteousness and holiness of truth.”
This new creation is of God. It is God’s own nature.

So, we know we are His own.
